Earth Day!

As I write this, I am in awe of the beauty of the snow in the spring. Nature is an amazing and inspiring thing! But at the same time, it is so powerful. At this moment, the trucks are outside shredding some trees into mulch , since they fell due to the weight of the snow. Yesterday, a neighbor cut down the most amazing birch tree that gave me such joy to watch when I walked the neighborhood. Every time a tree is cut down, I cry. They are beautiful life giving forces that live and breathe just like we do.

Each year my husband and I try to plant another tree (we are running out of yard!). Inside, we get the joy of our indoor plants with their own unique personalities. They bring oxygen, they clean our air, their provide moisture and they provide joy in their mere existence.

This earth day, I challenge you all to plant a tree. If we all took the time to rebuild this world, rather than tear it down, imagine what our world would look like!!
